I Think We're Alone Now

I Think We're Alone Now
Director: Sean Donnelly, 2011.
United States, 70 minutes.

An offbeat documentary exploring the line between fandom and obsession for celebrities and pop stars, we follow Jeff and Kelly, two oddball characters with an obsession with 80's one hit wonder and mall tour superstar: Tiffany. Labeled "stalkers" by the media, Jeff and Kelly do not know each other personally, but following each person we see the similarities between them as people obsessed. Strange, funny, so awkwardly oblivious you can't look away, but somewhat sympathetic in their imagined relationships, I Think We're Alone Now leaves an uneasy feeling but begs to be seen.
