Kid Dracula

Kid Dracula
F.W. Murnau, 1922, Radiohead, 2000.
Multinational, 94 minutes.
English.

An arthouse film tradition stemming from Toronto's Cineforum, Kid Dracula is F.W. Murnau's silent classic Nosferatu (1922) set to the music of Radiohead's landmark Kid A. The two find a middle ground in their solicitation of dread and paranoia; Radiohead's Kid A is an electronic panic attack of the modern age, and Nosferatu reclaims the tale of Dracula with the moving image.

Both innovative in their times and respective mediums, the combination is a distillation of great art's timelessness and transformative capacity.
