United Kingdom, 84 minutes.
Father and husband Sam is out on a camping trip with his young son when a flash of lights abducts him from their cabin in the woods. Some several years later, he returns, but clearly altered. Leaving a trail of bodies in his wake, he returns to his family and attempts to gain his old life back, but something is amiss, and his motives don't seem so clear. Heavy use of electric synth punctuate the soundtrack along with shocking visual effects, handled well on a low budget enterprise. Incredibly bizarre and yet effectively shocking, a strange balance of sci-fi, horror, and fantasy come together in Xtro.
